Your Hosts
I was born, and grew up in, Malvern and my husband Andrew and I wanted to settle and build a home here. We found a somewhat neglected site which was part of a former fruit farm in Storridge, Malvern.
Working with the Hereford-based company Oakwrights, and builders FurberYoung Developments Ltd we self-built an oak-frame home achieving the Passivhaus Institut standard.
If you are interested, we’ll be pleased to share our experiences of self-building and living in our oak-frame passive house. We’d also be pleased to share our experiences of beginning to restore our pear and plum orchards and native hedges, and of developing a wildflower meadow.
