Do you cater for people with disabilities?

Yes, we are pleased to do so and, as appropriate, to serve breakfast in your room downstairs. Please check the description of the house and immediately surrounding areas to decide if our facilities are suitable for you. Do you have good mobile signal?

Being in the countryside is relaxing, but not always so good for mobile signal! There is no reliable mobile phone signal in the immediate area of the house but if your phone has a Wifi-calling facility then you should be able to make and receive calls here via our guest Wifi network.

I have food allergies, how do you cater for this?

There is a list of food allergens at the bottom of our Food & Drink website page. This sets out the recognised allergens in the various foods that we provide, and we also list food allergens on our menu. If we have not covered something specific then please do let us know; we will do our best to cater for you.

Do you cater for people who have special dietary requirements?

We have been pleased to provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for guests’ breakfasts and evening cold platters. Please tell us what your requirements are and we’ll do our best to meet them.

Is smoking permitted?

We ask you not to smoke in the house or anywhere in the grounds. If there is any evidence that a guest may have been smoking we will charge up to £120 to cover the cost of deep cleaning.

How do I pay for a booking?

Payment is made at the time of booking by credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard) via the website booking system. You should receive an automatic email confirmation of this.
We will send you a separate card payment request if you have evening cold platters.

Can I have meals a Woodlands?

Breakfast is included in the room price. If you would prefer not to venture out in the evening we can offer various cold evening platters by prior arrangement.

Do I need a car?

Whilst there are walks you can take from Woodlands, and you can get to us by taxi from Malvern Link station (3.9 miles away), you will otherwise really need a car to get to us and to visit some of the interesting and beautiful countryside and places around us.

Can I store my luggage before or after check in/out?

You are welcome to drop off your luggage before checking in, and/or out to temporarily leave it with us on checkout.

Can I have an earlier or later check in or check out?

Our normal check-in time is between 3pm and 7pm. If you wish to arrive before 3pm please let us know. Your room may not be ready but we shall be pleased to keep your luggage in a safe place until it is. And if you expect to arrive after 7pm, please let us know. If we’re not expecting other guests on your check-out day you will be welcome to check out later than our usual time of 11am.

Is daily cleaning included?

We do not offer a room cleaning service but will provide fresh towels and clean cups and glasses, and replacements for the hospitality tray and bottled water as may be required using the butler’s trolley outside your room.

Are there toiletries in the room?

Guest rooms are provided with environmentally-friendly soap, hair shampoo and hair conditioner by Faith in Nature.

Is there a hairdryer available?

There is a hairdryer in each room.

Is there parking?

There is plenty of space for you to park your car on our drive.

What is the latest time I can come in at night?

You will have your own house key and room key so you can come and go as you please. We do ask that you respect our neighbours (and us!) by being as quiet as possible if you are coming back particularly late.

Please note that there is no street lighting where we live and our outside lights are wildlife-friendly and are not on throughout the night. There are external wall lights that are operated by motion detectors so these will come on as you approach the house from the parking area.

What time is breakfast?

We normally look to serve breakfast between 8am and 10.30am. We can vary these times by prior arrangement.

Are the rooms suitable for families?

We have two generously-sized guest rooms each with a king-sized bed. If such a bed would be suitable for your child/two children (aged 8 or above) we would be pleased for them to stay in our second room at the same room rate as yourselves. However, we have no special facilities for children, and the house is not suitable for toddlers and younger children who need constant supervision because they are understandably inquisitive but not yet old enough to recognise and to avoid hazards.

We ask that older children are appropriately supervised at all times both inside and outside the house. You and they are welcome to explore our meadow and two orchards but please read our access statement to ensure your and their safety.

Do you allow dogs?

Can we safely store bicycles at Woodlands?

We shall be pleased to store bicycles during your stay in a locked outbuilding. Please note that this facility if available at your own risk.

Do you serve alcoholic drinks?

We do not have a license to sell alcoholic drinks but you are welcome to bring your own and to store them in the small, ‘silent’ drinks chiller in your room, as appropriate. We do provide glasses, corkscrew and bottle openers in the guest rooms.

Do you provide a packed lunch service?

We are not currently able to provide lunches for our guests.
